-- in being passionate, dynamic, exciting in my lessons and interactions with learners, to engage them beyond their academic needs. Learning can be fun!

-- in being a positive role model for children and adults in a world that seems more and more void of positive examples.

  10. I believe the relationship comes first, I create an environment where students feel connected to me and each other. I think a teacher should give students the skills that enable them to learn with me, and without me. I hope I create self directed learners. I want them also to appreciate the realities of life, truth and respect for learning.

  11. Upon further reflection of my “ I believe” statements I have realized that mine focused on learning.(learning should be fun, relevant and student driven) I do know that my whole teaching philosophy has the best interest of the student in mind.
I believe that it is our responsibility to be positive people and role models in our students’ lives. I believe teachers must encourage, engage and challenge every student. I also believe that building relationships with students is first and foremost the most important aspect of what we do.
